Terms & Conditions

1. Legal Entity & Contact Information
These Terms & Conditions (these “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the mdsync web application and related services (the “Service”).
The Service is offered under the name mdsync (“mdsync”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
mdsync is operated by:
GROSSE Entreprises
France
57 Avenue du Maréchal Juin
64200 Biarritz
Email: [email protected]
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
mdsync connects to a GitHub repository you authorize and provides a web interface to browse, search, and edit Markdown documents stored in that repository. The Service is designed to help engineering and cross-functional teams collaborate on docs that live in Git.
Depending on your plan and configuration, the Service may allow you to:
- Select one or more documentation folders within a repo.
- Create, edit, rename, and delete Markdown files through a WYSIWYG editor.
- Sync changes to your repo via Git operations (for example, commits, pushes, and related workflows).
- Invite collaborators by email and manage roles within an organization/project.
- Use AI-assisted features (for example, drafting, rewriting, and suggested edits).
The Service is not a real-time “multiplayer” editor; it follows a Git-style workflow where changes are synced through Git rather than live cursor-by-cursor collaboration.
3. GitHub & Repository Access
To use the Service, you may need to connect a GitHub account and authorize access to one or more repositories. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to grant the access you provide.
When you authorize the Service, it may read from and (where you permit) write to your repository in order to provide the Service. You are responsible for:
- The accuracy, legality, and ownership/rights of the content in the connected repository.
- Reviewing changes before you merge, deploy, publish, or rely on them.
- Ensuring the Service’s actions (for example, commits) align with your organization’s policies and required approvals.
You can revoke access at any time through GitHub and/or within the Service. Revoking access may limit or disable functionality.
4. AI Features Disclaimer
The Service may provide AI-assisted outputs such as suggested edits, rewrites, summaries, or answers based on your documents and inputs.
You acknowledge that AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific use case. You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and deciding whether to use or apply any AI output (including committing changes to your repository).
The Service does not provide legal, financial, security, or other professional advice.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
6. Accounts & Access
Some features require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
The Service may be offered in free and paid tiers. If you purchase a subscription, fees, billing cycles, renewal terms, and plan features will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider, and their terms may apply in addition to these Terms.
8. Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at purchase.
Refunds, if any, are provided only as required by applicable law or as explicitly described at purchase. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact [email protected].
9. Intellectual Property & Content
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by GROSSE Entreprises and its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of your content (including the Markdown files and other materials stored in your repository). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit your content solely to provide and improve the Service.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass security or access controls.
- Use the Service to access repositories or content you do not have permission to access.
- Reverse engineer or copy the Service except as permitted by law.
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
11. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or where otherwise permitted by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” and GROSSE Entreprises disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GROSSE Entreprises will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Because the Service can interact with your repositories and apply changes, you acknowledge and accept the risk of unintended changes or data loss. Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GROSSE Entreprises from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, unless otherwise required by law.
